1. Overview
Planning a VTuber debut can feel overwhelming: there are many moving parts, from character design to
Live2D rigging for VTubers, streaming overlays, music, and promo. This checklist gives you a high-level
view of what you need so you can track progress and budget realistically.
At Myth-Ink Studio we offer both individual services and VTuber debut art and rigging packages via
bundle packages. Use this list whether you work with us or another studio.
2. Character & visual identity
- Character concept & lore: Who you are, how you speak, what your vibe is.
- Illustration / character art: At least one full-body illustration, ideally a full reference sheet.
- Logo & typography: Simple logo, stream name, and colour palette.
- Panels & badges: Optional but helpful for branding across Twitch, YouTube, and social media.
See Illustration & Character Art for how we handle character design and promo visuals.
3. Model & rigging
- Live2D Art (PSD): A layered PSD prepared for animation, normal or chibi proportion.
- Live2D Rigging: Choose a tier – Normal, Detailed, Chibi Normal, or Chibi Detailed.
- Software target: VTube Studio (most common) or other Live2D-compatible app.
- Testing time: Schedule time to test your model and fix minor issues before debut.
For more detail, see the Live2D Rigging Commission Guide and the
PSD preparation guide.
4. Streaming setup & overlays
- Overlays: Main gameplay or chatting overlay that matches your branding.
- Screens: Starting soon, BRB, and ending screens (static or animated).
- Alerts & stingers: Alerts for follows, subs, raids, plus transition animations.
- Stream layout test: Make sure your model, chat, alerts, and gameplay all fit on screen.
You can commission these as individual assets or as part of a Streaming & Channel Assets package.
5. Audio, BGM, and debut video
- BGM / theme: A looping background track that matches your character’s mood.
- Debut song (optional): Original or cover with mixing & mastering.
- Debut trailer / lore video: Short video to announce your debut and introduce your character.
- Alert sounds: Matching audio for alerts and scene changes.
Check Music & Audio Production and Video & Animation for examples and bundles.
6. Tech & account setup
- Streaming PC or laptop that can handle your game + Live2D + OBS.
- Camera and microphone (at least entry-level streaming quality).
- Accounts on Twitch/YouTube and any social platforms you plan to use.
- Basic OBS or streaming software profile with scenes, audio routing, and hotkeys.
7. Timeline and buffer
A full VTuber debut often involves multiple artists and services – illustration, Live2D model rigging,
overlays, music, and video. They rarely finish at the same time.
- Plan backwards from your ideal debut date.
- Talk with each artist about their estimated delivery window.
- Leave at least 1–2 weeks of buffer between final deliveries and debut day for testing.
Our Timeline & Protection page explains how we structure Standard, VIP, and VVIP paths for larger projects.
8. Using bundles for a smoother debut
Instead of managing many separate commissions, you can use VTuber debut bundles that combine
art, Live2D rigging for VTubers, streaming assets, music, and video.
At Myth-Ink Studio, you can find these under Bundle Packages,
including options focused on Live2D, streamer branding, music + MV, and full debut.
Bundles make it easier to keep art style, timing, and pricing consistent.
